Since launching our refreshed QLAMaster experience, we’ve continued making practical improvements across the platform.

Our focus remains the same: helping teachers move from marks to clearer next steps, with less time spent setting up spreadsheets, mapping papers and managing assessment data.
AI-assisted paper mapping
One of the biggest additions is the new AI-assisted Paper Mapper.

Teachers can upload an assessment PDF and QLAMaster can create a first-pass question-level mapping, including the structure of the paper, available marks and relevant specification content.

This gives teachers a much quicker starting point than building a paper from scratch manually.

Once the mapping is complete, the paper is saved directly into My Papers, ready to review and use.
Clearer progress while papers are being mapped
Larger papers can take a little time to process, so we’ve added clearer progress feedback while QLAMaster works through the paper.

Teachers can now see that processing is continuing, rather than being left wondering whether the page has stopped responding.

The completed paper is then saved automatically into My Papers.
Better support for different exam-paper structures
We’ve also improved support for papers that include optional sections or either/or questions.

That means QLAMaster can handle a wider range of real exam-paper structures while keeping the correct overall maximum mark for the assessment.
My Papers improvements
My Papers is becoming the main place for teachers to manage their own assessment mappings.

AI-assisted papers and manually created custom papers can both be saved there, making it easier to keep everything together.

From My Papers, teachers can generate a fresh QLAMaster spreadsheet whenever they need one, helping make repeat assessments and future classes easier to manage.
Improved custom paper workflow
The custom paper workflow continues to support teachers who want to build or edit their own assessment mappings manually.

These custom papers can be saved, reused and turned into QLAMaster spreadsheets in the same way as AI-assisted mappings.

This gives teachers flexibility over how they prepare their assessments, while keeping the final workflow consistent.
Student targets added to generated spreadsheets
Generated spreadsheets now include a dedicated Target column.

Teachers can enter an individual target for each student or leave the field blank to use QLAMaster’s default target based on the assessment total.

This brings custom and saved-paper spreadsheets in line with the latest QLAMaster format and gives teachers more flexibility when reviewing performance.
Assessment Library access improvements
We’ve also improved the Assessment Library experience.

Teachers with the appropriate licence can download available resources directly, while users without access are given a clear route to the relevant licence options.

This makes it easier for teachers to understand what they can access and where to go if they need additional coverage.
A clearer licence experience
We’ve continued improving the way licence information is presented inside QLAMaster.

The aim is to make it easier for schools and teachers to understand the subjects and levels they currently have access to, and what options are available if they want to expand that access.
A better News experience
The QLAMaster News area has also had a major refresh.

Updates can now be presented with clearer categories, search and featured content, making it easier to find relevant product news and guidance.

Individual updates can also have their own article page, so new features, improvements and useful information can be shared directly without being buried in a single long list.
A more consistent QLAMaster experience
Alongside these feature updates, we’ve continued rolling out our refreshed QLAMaster design across the platform.

Public-facing pages have been updated to feel clearer, more consistent and easier to use across desktop and mobile.

This includes improvements to the way information is structured, how key actions are presented and how teachers move between different parts of QLAMaster.
More to come
There is still more on the way.

We’re continuing to develop tools that reduce repetitive assessment administration and make it easier for teachers to turn question-level data into useful feedback, clearer insights and more focused revision.
